We have her!

Welcome Brooklyn Ru Le Brown!! What an emotional day. I will explain about our whole day later, but I wanted to post pictures before the kids went to school. Brooklyn cried when they first handed her to me, but has calmed down now and is doing great. She fell asleep right before we got back to the hotel. Scott is off doing paper work and I thought I would get pictures out while she is sleeping. We think she is absolutely beautiful and we recognized her right away. Enjoy the pictures, I will post more later. Love you all! Gloria, she is wearing the outfit you bought for her. We sent her a care package to her orphanage and they received it and put her in one of the outfits Gloria (my Einstein buddy)got for her.

OH MY GOSH! Brooklyn is truly an angel. I think I might know a couple of people who feel so blessed. She's a miracle. What a perfect way to start a Monday morning seeing Brooklyn with her parents.

This is so amazing that I am sitting here in Indiana and can see almost instantly what you guys are experiencing. Of course I am crying. :) This is all so exciting. She is really beautiful and so innocent and has no idea, just how lucky she is to have you two as parents now. CONGRATULATIONS to the whole family! We look forward to seeing you soon.

Laurie and Scott,

You guys got a cutie, she even resembles your family a little. I am so happy for you all. I know the kids are so ready for the baby sister to come home. Its wierd how life works out. The tangle in the red thread got loose and brought you together. I love that quote!!!!! Have a wonderful Journey!!!!!

We love you, Madonna and Rick, Payton and Kennedy.

I agree! If there was any way I could hop a flight to meet you all, I would! I have watched the site all day and daydreamed what it would be like to be able to afford to just meet you there! I am thinking about "ditching" my kids to be there on Thirsday, but I don't think they would forgive me! Love you so much!

For all the people eagerly checking this site, I talked to Mom and Dad tonight and I can relay some information...

Brooklyn cried right when they got her, but once she stopped crying she began going right to Mom. She slept all through the night. Mom and Dad said that she is adorable, a little stubborn (in a good way - just like all the Browns!), and very well behaved. She is even WALKING, which for only being 13 months and living in an orhpanage all her life is really amazing.

When I was on the phone, I could hear her laughing in the background with Dad. Mom said that Dad is really good at getting her to laugh, and she said that she really, really likes him. To show her stubborn side, she won't walk when Mom and Dad want her to (she shakes her head NO!), but she will walk when they are least expecting it.

She is a picky eater who mainly likes fruit and juice. She is TINY (Mom said probably 15 lbs). They said she is absolutely adorable and they feel extremely blessed. They couldn't be happier. For some reason, they can't read the blogs they put up on the site, but they can post. They said they would add a long post for everyone to read when we wake up in the morning. I told them that it seems like the entire White River Township community is following this thing. They couldn't believe all the outpourings from people.

Hopefully this tides everyone over until the next post. I sure am one proud brother.

Laurie and Scott, I just want you to know that I have been every bit as excited about Brooklyn as I was with all the other grandchildren. I couldn't sleep last night in anticipation of seeing her for the first time with you. So finally I just stayed up at 3:00 and kept checking and when the pictures were actually on there a little before six, I didn't think I could look. I felt so overwhelmed. She is beautiful, but most of all she seems so content to have you as her parents. I think God started this process back in the 80's when you were begging us to adopt a Vietnamese baby. God has certainly answered prayers. You both have worked so hard for this to happen. I couln't be happier. And I am blessed to be home with the others. They have been so good and I am really enjoying being here and hearing the excitement in your voices. We are counting the days. Love, Mom
